PROJECTS:


With the rising demand for materials testing, we provide expertise to analyze metal quality, degradation & failures. Accredited with ISO/IEC 17025, we assure our test methods which include metallographic examination, material characterization test, mechanical tests, high-temperature creep test, steam oxidation tests, wear & erosion tests, etc, are traceable to ASTM, ASME, and ISO standards.


Currently, we focus on the database development for Boilers, Pressure Vessels & Gas Turbines. Take a look at our detailed projects:



  • Material Database Development (Boilers, Pressure Vessels & Gas Turbines)


    We focus on the following areas:

    • Condition Based Monitoring (CBM)


    • Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)


    • Material Integrity Analysis (MIA)


    • Remaining Life Assessment (RLA)

  • New Inspection Techniques ((Non-Invasive &

    Non-Destructive) Our techniques include:

    • Robotic Boroscope Inspection to detect internal pipe/tube defects.

    • Scanning Force Microscopy to detect creep damage & volumetric measurement.

  • Development of Material Diagnostic & Early Detection System

    This development program includes:

    • High Temperature Creep Life Assessment & Creep Crack Growth Analysis

    • Acoustic Emission Measurement System


    • Real-time monitoring system for boiler tubes or steam piping performance (test parameters: temperature, water/steam flow, displacement, etc.)


    • Mechanical test system & environmental ageing test system for composite cross arm assemblies.

  • Damage Control, Defect Analysis, Repair & Refurbishment Procedure

    It includes:


    • Simulation Test For High-Temperature Steam Oxidation.

    • Simulation Test For Stress Corrosion Cracking


    • Repair procedures for ex-service or thermally aged P91 steam piping to extend serviceability

      .

    • Rejuvenation heat treatment for ex-service turbine blades using Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) method.


  • Exploration of New Inspection Techniques

    • We analyze and develop new inspection techniques covering both non-destructive and destructive techniques
