Prof Dato’ Dr Kamaruzzaman
He is currently the Professor of Renewable Energy and Director of the Solar Energy Research Institute, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His main contributions in renewable energy are in advanced solar photovoltaic systems (solar-powered regenerative fuel cell, solar hydrogen production) and advanced solar thermal systems (solar cooling, solar heat pump, solar-assisted drying, combined photovoltaic thermal or hybrid collector)

Ir. Dr. Norshah
Ir. Dr. Norshah has 20 years of experience as an academician, an industry practitioner, and an entrepreneur. He served for a number of years at University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), TNB Research, and Lloyds Register before deciding to focus on the MTC Group of Companies which he co-founded in 2009. His current role at MTC Group involves overseeing new technology development and their applications for MTC’s business

Rumaizi
Encik Rumaizi bin Hamid has more than 30 years of experience in the Distribution System. Current responsibility includes building up Distribution Network infrastructure, managing major projects for 33kV, preparing Asset Development to be an SBU and Identify, evaluate and introduce new technologies for use in the distribution network. He was a pioneer team in establishing the CBM framework for TNB Distribution and was responsible for managing Engineering Evaluation Practices in TNBD

Ahmad Faraid
Encik Ahmad Faraid bin Mohd Yahaya joined LLN/TNB on 1 September 1982. He has served LLN/TNB in various capacities within the Generation Division since 1982 as an Assistant Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Construction Engineer, Project Engineer/Head of Matrix for Control & Instrumentation Section in Prai and Kapar Power Stations. He also has served TNB as the Engineering Manager and Project Manager for the 3 x 700 MW Manjung Coal-Fired Power Plant Project and as Project Director for Lahad Datu Coal-Fired Power Plant Project

Ir. Dev Anandan
He started his journey with Lembaga Letrik Negara/Tenaga Nasional Berhad in 1988 and has obtained more than 33 years of working experience in various areas and departments related to Operation & Maintenance, Asset Development and Asset Management. Ir. Dev is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM) since 1997

Ir. Dr. Mohd Fadzil
Ir. Dr. Mohd Fadzil bin Mohd Siam is currently the Head (Strategy & Sustainability) at Strategy & Ventures Division, TNB. Before that, he was the Managing Director of TNB Research Sdn. Bhd. and he has been leading and involved in various innovation and technology initiatives including smart city & smart grid issues, power quality, energy storage, network efficiency and renewable energy

Dr. Mohd Hariffin
Dr. Mohd Hariffin has more than 28 years of experience in the electricity supply industry, covering various aspects of the industry i.e. in fuel handling & management, power plant operation, education & training, and research & development. He is an active member of Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) Industry Advisory Panel for both Bachelor and Master of Mechanical Engineering programs. He is also a member of the Research Expert Panel, Workshop for Mission-Oriented Research (MOR) – Hybrid Energy System for Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP)

Dr. Aznan Ezraie
Dr. Aznan has 21 years of working experience in various areas and departments in Tenaga Nasional including planning, operations, research and international business. He was seconded as Vice President (Investments) to the Investment Division of Khazanah Nasional in the year 2014-2015, part of the team in the execution of transaction strategy, due diligence and evaluation activities in the power sector. He was the Special Officer (Technical) to the CEO of TNB in the year 2004-2009 responsible for advising on engineering and technology matters and was also part of the first committee developing the Malaysian Grid Code with Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and the Incentive-Based Regulation for Grid System Operator

Ir. Dr. Hazha
Ir. Dr. Hazha started his journey with Tenaga Nasional Berhad in 1992 and has obtained more than 29 years of working experience in various areas and departments related to research, operation and maintenance of power plants. In 2002, he associates himself in the research field and started as a senior researcher then promoted to a principal researcher for the Generation Unit after 13 years working in that field. His working experience in various areas leads him to be appointed as the Head of Product Development & Commercialization. He manages pre-commercialization and commercialization activities on TNBR research & development products and services.

Ir. Dr. Sheikh Kamar
For the past 21 years working in TNB Research, Ir. Dr. Sheikh Kamar dedicated himself as researcher and project manager whom leads the research and development activities plus services for many TNB’s transmission and distribution projects, focusing on distribution network feeder automation, grid system-wide coordinated voltage control and power system stability aspect especially on real-time wide area measurement, monitoring, protection, automation and control [WAMPAC] system

Dr. Ir. Ahmad Basri
In year 2000, Dr. Ir. Ahmad Basri joined TNB Research as the Technical Manager for the TNBR High Voltage Laboratory. In year 2008, he became the Senior Manager of the High Voltage Diagnostic Cable unit. His main interest areas are High Voltage Engineering, power cable design & diagnostic, and electrical asset management. In year 2019, he was appointed as the General Manager of the TNB Laboratory (TNB LABS), a full subsidiary of TNB Research

Mrs. Rohaiza Binti Jaafar
Prior to joining TNBR, Mrs. Rohaiza was the Head of Project Management Office (PMO), TNB Global Business Solutions (TGBS). She started her career with TNB in 1991 and has more than 26 years of working experience in Financial and Management Accounting serving TNB divisions at Group Finance, Distribution, Retails, Audit, and TGBS. Mrs.Rohaiza holds a degree in Accountancy from Lincoln University, New Zealand and Post Graduate Certified Professional Accounting from Victoria University, New Zealand. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Mr. Dahari Bin Embong
Mr. Dahari began his career in TNB Research as a Human Resource Manager. He was responsible for the formulation of company’s HR strategy and policies to ensure high employee engagement and productivity. He was also instrumental in developing the Terms and Condition of Services for TNB Research. In 2013, he was appointed to his current position.
Mr. Dahari holds a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration (Majoring in Human Resource Management) from Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Mr. Ahmad Qadafi Bin Shaii
Mr. Qadafi started his career at TNBR as a Senior Researcher in 2010. He was involved in several key projects such as Skunk project and responsible for all automation projects as well as the company’s ICT infrastructure.
Mr. Qadafi holds a degree in Computer Science from University Technology Malaysia and Masters in IT-Majoring in Networking from Universiti Tenaga Nasional.
