TNB Research Sdn. Bhd., fondly known as TNBR, has been the in-house solution provider for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) since 1993.  As a Research & Development (R&D) Centre, we provide a centralized, one-stop center for technical solutions and innovation.

While continuing the efforts on operational improvement initiatives in TNB, TNB Research is now are embarking on various Advanced Research projects in positioning TNB to be an early adopter of promising technologies.

In 2012, TNBR established its own subsidiary, TNBR QATS Sdn. Bhd. to focus on delivering World Class Services to industries.  On 1 March 2019, TNBR QATS was renamed TNB Labs Sdn. Bhd.
